Fido pay as you go plan - use with MSN mobile?
I have the "Fido prepaid" package.
On their website, it says
"How much does IM cost?
Pay only when you send a message. Each message sent costs 15¢ and messages received are free.
Or you can save by subscribing to a monthly option.
IM as a monthly option: Instant Messaging from your Fido costs $2 per month for access to each the MSN and Yahoo! portals, plus select an IM portal and choose between the $3 per month for 125 messages and the $5 per month for 2,500 instant messages options. Additional messages cost 10¢ per message."
So from what i understand, it means i COULD use Msn mobile free of charge (ie. appear as mobile to my contacts) if i don't send any messages?
However on another part of the website it says
"Select Pricing.
- Each instant message sent costs 15¢. To su
bscribe to a monthly option and save, select one or both instant messaging portals.
- You'll select an IM portal - MSN messenger at $2 per month and/or Yahoo! Messenger at $2 per month, and choose
between the $3 per month for 125 messages and the $5 per month for 2,500 instant messages options. Additional messages cost 10¢ per message.
- All instant messages received are free. "
That page, to my understanding, means i HAVE to pay $2/month, whether i send a message or not /subscribe to a monthly plan or not.
So...which one is it? Do i HAVE to pay a monthly fee for msn mobile, or can i not pay anything provided i don't send out any text messages?
And if anyone has Fido Prepaid that's using this service too please let me know how your service is.
Thanks.
