can i get a sprint employee discounts if i work for nextel?

my god mother works for nextel. currently im on a nextel employee discount plan from her (so i get free text and internet and data, etc..). i want a new phone now. the Rumor by LG. the sprint plans are kind of expensive and with the free text and stuff, the price will be even higher. will my god mother be able to get sprint employee discounts even though she works for nextel?
