My nextel i836 screen keeps going white. I can turn it on and access everything, but as soon as I close the phone, the screen goes white and I can't access anything.

What can I do? Someone please help..

have you tried to power cycle your phone?

-turn the phone off.
-remove the battery
-wait a minute or 2
-insert the battery
-turn the phone back on.

if this doesn't fix the problem then it may be time to get a new phone. Take it to your service provider.
