Nextel/Sprint questions. How much will it cost?

My boyfriend's cousin used to work for Nextel and my boyfriend's service is only $10, even after his cousin left the company. If I were to switch to Sprint and and a line on his account will they notice that his cousin doesn't work for the company anymore and set it back at regular price?
