Does Nextel charge extra for calls to Canada?

Does anyone know if Nextel charges extra for calls to Canada? I have their national plan, I can call anywhere in the US at no extra charge for sure, anyone have any experience with this?

I think so because its not a U.S number but call service provider and ask them
