How do I fix this with my nextel phone i870?

i'm trying to download music to my phone but have been unable to. For my mp3 player.I formated the card as recommended but when I try to download my music it says the disk is write protected...it says remove the write protection or get another disc! How do I remove the write protection???
Please Help I donot know if it is my computer or not. IT is a San Disk Trans Flash 256 MB. I also try to delete songs and add new ones no luck.
