my friend in US wants to send me a new iphone bought in APPLE STORE as gift, but im not sure if it will work with my current SIM card (from rogers). Or I have to wait to unlock it in order to use it in Canada with Rogers Wireless. Currently the iphone has 1.1.3 firmware (latest ver.)
does anyone know?
i know there are few ways for unlocking iphone, but i haven't found a good way to unlock firmware 1.1.3 since it's too new

the iphone only works with AT&T with out being unlocked in the US, but since there is a easy way to unlock it, its also capable with T-Mobile. Yes you have to unlock it, i can give you the instructions how, but you will have to jailbreak your iphone, for instruction on that email me and ill let u knw.

It depends when it was bought because now apple has locked them
