Default can you use your own cellphone with rogers?

can i walk into rogers with my own phone and sign up?
if yes, does the phone you use have to have certain specs? what specs?

do other servies in canada let you use your own phone?

You may use the old instrument purchased from rogers. All service providers in Canada are poor. They have to share the clients within a total population of a little over 32 million. So, they compel the customers to buy cell phone from the service providers.
