I have sprint cellphone service with 4 lines, one of the phones is available for upgrade with a new 2 year contract, but I do not need this line any longer, can I get it cancelled, because I dont want to renew the contract?

I work for sprint wireless so once the phone is up for upgrade if you did upgrade the phone it does require a new two year agreement your upgrade is based on how long you have had the phone so its saying you have had it for at least two years if you are elegible for the 150.00 upgrade and you have had it for a year if you are elegible for the 75.00 upgrade and a contract is for two years. Also just because you are elegible for an upgrade does not mean that your contract is up you need to be sure that you have not at anytime signed into a new agreement by changing our plans like if you went from a single plan to a family shared plan by adding more phones then your agreement started over, but the best thing you can do is call customer care and ask when your agreement is up on the phone that you no longer need if it is up then you can cancel it with no problem but they can give you the exact date and month that your agreement is up.
