my friend recently lost her cell phone and her sister bought her one from ebay. she has sprint and as you know sprint does not use sim cards. so how can sprint activate the phone without one? her phone works good but i dont want to get a crap phone, a lot say new, not sure if its the truth. i also dont want to get ripped off. i want to get a new phone but dont want to spend the 400 through sprint. is the phone supposed to be gsm capable, again sprint doesnt use sim cards so i dont understand how this works. someone please explain!

i would just go with a new phone because sometimes the phones on ebay are stolen and if the person who lost it reported it stolen then that phone is suspended from the network until the rightful owner calls in. and try gettin ur money back? no way haha so most phones go down in proce next month anyways because thats when they get replaced with all the new phones. so just wait a month and go new.
