1) if you got a replacement phone during the contract do you start a new contract or does it just keep going?

ex. phone had something wrong with it so they gave me the same model to replace it

2) does the contract end exactly 2 years after you got it?

ex. got the phone June 23rd 2006 contract expires June 23rd 2008
