Ok. First things first. Make sure you formatted your SD card inside your phone. This will have it create the proper directories.
Secondly, you don't need Sprint Music Manager. Your Centro should have come with its own desktop software. Just launch that with your phone connected. Then hit the bottom left button "Quick Install".
This brings up another window. You can just drag and drop whatever you want on your phone into these two windows. Drag it to the top if you want it stored on your phone (not a good choice). Drag it to the bottom if you want it stored on your SD card. Then hit the hotsycn button on the cable.
It will transfer all your songs to your phone and you can access them using ptunes. If you want to turn any of these songs into mp3s you should download a program called Minitones. http://mytreo.net/downloads/minitones,1053.html Just hotsync that prc to your phone then run it.
It'll find all your mp3s. And you can pick out which ones you want as mp3s. Just select one and make it an mp3, or you can select it and trim it down to the part of the song you want. You'll have to use the stylus for that since the buttons are really small.
Hope this is what you were looking for. Good luck!
