i have a samsung m300 phone from sprint when i receive an im from yahoo messanger my phone does not alert me like it should with a text message and i dont know why. can some one pleas help me im alway missing my messages from my husband who is deployed right now so it make me upset.

You have to make sure the following: In your preferences in general section, on the bottom click on Edit Mobile Device to make sure your phone and Sprint in this case is listed. Make sure that your phone number is correct. After you are done with that, you can check "Always sign in to my mobile device when I exit Messenger and click OK. Then maybe try to send your self Yahoo IM from another user name to see if it's working. If none of these work, maybe your phone or wireless operator is not supported. Just a hint, if your phone is not supported try using similar phone listed.

most likely the ring tone for the txt msg is not selected or is turned off
