My cousin has a Verizon Blackberry 8830 (silver) that she offered to give to my mom or I if either of us wanted it. I recently switched to T-Mobile and my mom uses U.S. Cellular. Will this phone work on either or both of these networks?
I've asked a few friends this question and have gotten conflicting answers. A few said no, because they are different networks and the silver 8830's were made just for Verizon whereas the black 8830 was made for U.S. Cellular.
Some said yes, because it is a "world phone" and designed to work on most CDMA and GSM networks.

I am completely clueless when it comes to this stuff- Which answer is correct?
