i will be there for 3 weeks and i need to know how i can call my family.

Yes, you will be able to use it as long as your phone is a GSM tri-band or quad band phone. Your cell phone provider does support international roaming. The site should provide instructions for calling.http://www.telusmobility.com/mb/cove...ng_about.shtml
