If I buy a cell phone in Taiwan, is it possible for me to use my USCellular SIM...

...card in it? I currently use USCellular, but I would like to get a better phone while I am in Taiwan. I do not know anything about unlocking phones or what not. I do not even know how to get my SIM card out of my LG UX5000. Those are tiny screws!
So would I have to buy a different type of phone to switch out the SIM card? And for the phone that I buy in Taiwan, would I need to get it unlocked?

the LG Cell phones does not have a sim card, at least i know... they have it integrated to the master card of the phone and because of that you cant remove it of the phone...
