I am wondering if I can use another service provider for a calling plan,such as verizon.Can anyone help?

Well typically the phones are locked to the network it was manufactured for. Im not positive but I think us cellular uses cdma technology. which means if you get the phone unlocked it can be used on sprint or verizon. If it uses GSM technology the phone could be used on either t-mobil or cingulars network. Its very easy to check. Open the back of the phone and look inside. if there is a spot for a sim card it is gsm if there is not it is cdma
