i put my screen name into the AIM on my computer but found it to be annoying so i signed out. Even thought i am signed out i still receive every message that is sent to me through my computer on my phone. my phone reads "____ has sent u an IM. sign on to read it." please inform me on how i can stop this from ocurring so that i do not waste all of my texts. i want to turn off the application since signing off doesnt seem to help.

I am not sure if this will work for your needs, but it worked for me. Sign onto AIM from your computor (this has to be done first). Then, on your phone seperately and afterward, sign onto AIM. This will trigger a message on your computor from AIM that you can, "you have been signed on to another location. Press 1 to sign off that location." Then you just send a "1" (or whatever number it is) on the AIM message. This worked in signing me off my phones-AIM. If this trick doesn't work, I'd call verizon and complain and tell them that they are wasting your texts because of faulty hardware/software. When all else fails, complain!!! hahaha
