I'm sorry to say, I don't have an answer for you. I did the same thing w/verizon also, and although their customer service reps have been without fail, very pleasant and helpful, I hope you get some good answers, or at least one.

I am sorry for your loss, and await with you a good answer. I am thinking of re-activating my old virgin mobile pay as you go phone, as my overages are to the Philippenes, but you might want to look into a temp. solution like that, if you think overages will continue. in the states, it might be cheaper.
