i'm getting the LG Voyager cell phone (verizon)...?

I'd be getting it in the beginning of October. Do you think the voyager will be kinda old by that time?

Probably not I mean look at the enV (NOT enV2) it's been out over 2 years and it's still popular...

I am sure that by october there will be some other new latest greatest phone out. That is the catch with cellular phones every six months to a year the latest greatest is always replaced by something better. Perhaps wait til October and see if there is something better available.
