I have a 2 year verizon wireless contract. its not up for over a year yet. Im

sick of my phone and was thinkin about buying a different one on ebay.. Will that work even though my contract is not up? I was thinking if i get a different one and call verizon they can change my service to my new phone or something but i want to make sure before i spend any money. thanks
