So I recently got a 1-year cell phone plan with Verizon. Say I wanted to buy a better phone such as the "DARE" off of Ebay. Can I sell the phone I received with my plan? Do I technically own this phone to have the right to sell it? Thanks

Its your phone and you can do with it whatever you want. If you want to sell it, you can. If you want to trash it, you can. If you want to throw if off a bridge, you can.

I believe that would be copyright infringement.
Plus you signed up for the plan, and one way or another it's you who has to pay for it.
