I don't know if this helps but I have at&t for my home phone....

You should ask Verizon if they have a plan for a teen phone etc.. my brother has one for both of his kids through Verizon, we have Sprint which is great, only $10 a month for the 3rd phone. Call them and find out- if need be for financial purposes, you can get your daughter a pre-paid phone.
My daughter is 12, she left her phone on the bus one day, the bus broke down and was in the shop for 2 weeks, she didn't know exactly where she lost it? so foolishly we bought one of those phones that people buy new but then return it in 30 days? it was $100 - well, as you guessed, the bus was repaired and returned and the driver found the lost phone, so now we have 2!
If you get a phone through the plan? don't get the insurance, you can buy a pre-owned new phone for the price of 1 yr insurance! not worth it.

u could get her a razr or a choclate or a env cuz those r like awesome but more $$$...... but i bet shed b happy with pretty much any flip fone thats a camera fone. thats what id like and im 12 so yeah. she soooo lucky she gettin a fone!!
