want to change verizon contract cell phone to a prepaid but stay with verizon?
I have a verizon cell contract and it will be running out in a few weeks. I don't want to renew my contract but I do want to stay with verizon just with their prepaid service. Can I keep my phone that I have been using or do I have to purchase a prepaid phone package? I really need to get something workout soon so I won't have a lapse in my phone service and I want to do it the cheapest way possible. Please let me know if this can work and if you or anyone you know has done this before. Thank You!
I have talked to the sale reps at my local verizon and they won't give me a yes or no. They just shrugged their shoulders. I've heard of people that have used their contract phones on prepaid but I don't know anyone personal that has done this and if it can be done with verizon. I have a felling since the reps didn't give me a straight answer then it could be done but all they wanted to do is sign me up for a new contract which is a waste of money for me. Everyone that I talk to on my cell has verizon so I was wanting to get the prepaid since it will only cost my .99 cent a day and with a contract it cost $39.99 month (you do get 450 minutes with the contract but I never use) but after all those taxes added to my bill aways comes to a little over $50 month. The prepaid would save me over $20 a month
