Well, if they're disconnected for non payment, you're already on the first step towards being sent to collections and being permanently disconnected. Call your cell phone providor and try to set up a payment plan to get your bill paid off. An on hold service normally costs around 20 dollars per month per phone. Your best bet is calling your cell phone providors finance department and seeing what or IF they can do anything for you to help bring your bill down. If not, you'll need to slowly and steadily make payments to get your phones back on. Most companies will not change your rate plan (putting a phone on hold is a rate plan change) until you've paid your bill.
