i want to buy a phone but when i go to their website , all the phones have a 50 online discount, y? there new phones, its it better to buy online or go to their store

I'm not sure about T-Mobile but I can tell you why for Verizon Wireless.

When you buy a phone under contract you get a discount price, for example 2 year contract on LG Cherry Chocolate would be $99.99. This is the standard accross the board when you buy it at the store or over the phone with a rep. WHen you order the phone you are offered a $50.00 mail in rebate, which will take the price down to $49.99. However, when you order the phone online you get the mail in rebate automatically so you pay $49.99 without having to wait for the rebate.

To put it simply, online you get an instant mail in rebate, order at the store or over the phone with a rep you have to wait for the rebate.

BEcause when you purchase online everything is electronic as apposed to buying from the store where there are overhead costs to cover like wages, rent, etc. Sounds daft but its mostly true
