I have verizon wireless and my cell phone is fading fast just from wear and tear. I want to upgrade to a smartphone, preferable a motorola q or something like that. I am eligible for my 2 year upgrade in december but I dont know if my phone will make it that long. Does anyone know if I can upgrade at a discount before that time comes up?

I have a verizon wireless phone also and my 2 year contract is until next year. They told me that I could not upgrade until that the 2 years are up, but they did say that you actually buy a phone yourself and they can transfer your number to that phone you buy at the full price and then you have a new phone. But the thing of it is that you need to buy your own phone if you want it before the 2 years are up. that is why it sucks.

Verizon changed its new upgrades from every 22 months to every 20 months and actually you can call customer service since you're close to your date and ask for an early upgrade. Verizon just announced also 4 new phones coming out in the next 2 months including the Blackberry Pearl 2. Some of the others include 2 LG phones that will have a touch screen like the iphone.
