audiovox phone broken, it says this phone is in offline,?

i got an audiovox phone, and it says on the front "this phone is in offline" and the inside says "please power recycle the phone to make calls" or somethin like that, i cant make calls. ive shut it off and on. took the battery out, whats the problem? is it trash now? could i buy a new battery and make it work?

the model no: CDM-8910

help me please
