It is possible to fix it, but it is not worth it, you really should upgrade and get a phone that is up to date. I had a phone for 3 years and had to have it replaced 2 times during the last year I had it.
BTW. Unless your good at repairing micro weld solder, I wouldn't try to repair it.

you can either upgrade it with your carrier and get the instant savings(depends on which carrier).
Or you can add another line on your plan,its usually 10 dollars to add a line.

I suppose you could get it fixed - depending on your plan and options, you may have the ability to send your phone in to be repaired. However, if it is three years old, you may really want to consider upgrading. The repairs for your current phone will cost money, and getting an upgrade would probably cost less than the repairs.
