I am moving to Canada next month, and have not decided as yet what to do with my iPhone, which I absolutely love. I did some googling and found out that iPhone is still not officially available in Canada, and since I am going to a University (MUN) my iPhone is going to be a show-off! Will this phone work in Canada with a SIM card?
Also, what are affordable mobile services for a foreign student in Canada who makes occasional long distance calls (to India)? Please advise, nuff respect.

sim cards work in Canada. You can ask Rogers and Fido they use SIM cards. Oh and lotsa canadians have the IPhone, sorry to break your bubble

Okay, it will work but i think your gonna have to buy a sim card from Canada , in order for it to work . and for your friend a good phone/cable/cell/internet service is , Rogers !

The phone will work you just cant use it, lol. Its all on the carriers availeble in Canada.

It should work in canada. but i can assure you there are a lot of people in canada who already have iphones. they get them from ebay.
