Default Apple Iphone?

Is the iphone worth getting?
Does it allow you to pick-up emails using outlook or similar software?
Will o2 offer discounts to loyal customers?

its not the ideal phone for business type email situations.
its just a pretty phone, with no real use
get a blackberry if you want to do serious email / work stuff

No. As it stands the iPhone is severely over-priced, as it relies on its name-factor to add prestige value over its appreciable practical value.

Other than its famous interface, there is no reason to get an iPhone. It lacks a high-speed data connection, which is a major omission in the competitive market place.

My advice is to look elsewhere on the smartphone market, possibly to Windows Mobile or Symbian phones.

The iPhone is not quite there yet. It may need to go through another two or three incarnations before it is reasonable value-for-money and more functional.

I would wait for the next revision. Outlook syncing I hear is doesn't work well. In fact our company has a rule not to allow anyone with an iPhone to connect to the network because of security flaws on the phone. Connecting with exchange server is impossible anyway. If you're going to use this phone for business don't. It can not edit office documents only read them. Its a toy! Imagine it is just an iPod which happens to be a phone with bad sound quality. If you're more concerned about emails look at the other smart phones AT&T offers. Take a look at the Tilt a far better phone, great sound quality and all the functions and features you would need for any business application and much much more. Just take a look at the specs and compair. 3G support is most important that the iphone lacks. If you want to wait forever for a webpage to open then go with iPhone if not get the Tilt or other device that supports 3G.

if you want a good phone and like the sound of iphone, get your hands on a HTC phone, its run by Windows Mobile software, has all the usual microsoft stuff running on it, there are plenty of applications and games to put on it. There is even Microsoft messenger live to use MSN messenger on it. Excel spreadsheets, word, skype, everything, and most of all they look cool! check the htc touch and htc tytn11.

iphone has just put a pretty gloss on stuff that has been out for years.

ps i dont love bill gates, i just like my htc handset for what it is.

Verizon is coming out with a new phone tomorrow called the LG Voyager, I have heard that it is going to be better than the iPhone, and it is almost the same, it has a touch screen and everything, but it also opens up to a full QWERTY keyboard.
My aunt has an iPone, and she says her emails don't come in well at all.

hope this helps :]
