...locked of course? My Dad wants to get my Mum an iPhone from Apple. I'm not sure wether he wants to unlock it or not. I'm just not sure wether they'd ship to to me over here.

I don't think they will because as yet no cell phone company has been awarded the contract. If you unlock an iPhone and use an unauthorized company, you will not be able to use all the items on the phone. Best to wait until it is officially launched in Australia. Sorry sweetheart.
