I want to know if you think it is a good investment. I'm not planning to purchase the first generation. I've had good experience with the iPod. The first generation iPod was a disaster to me. The current iPod is unbelievable and a dramatic improvement. I know the immense difficulty that there will be to put your hands on one of these new phones. An Apple representative recently told me that the U.S. will be recieving only 10,000 pieces. So all in all, do you think it is worth spending the near 600 dollars in about a year from now on this device?
Personally, I think the iPhone is overrated. We'll have to see what they do with version 2 (which should be released in Europe early 2008). I think it's more of a toy than a practical device. If you really wanted a PDA style phone, it makes more sense to go with a Treo or a Blackberry. The Apple representative that you talked to was full of crap. It's been advertised all over the place that there will be 3 million iPhones available on release.
In any case, who knows if it will be worth it in a year? That's a REALLY long time when it comes to cell phones. The LG KE850 should be released in the US by then. There will be several new phones released for the sole purpose of competing with the iPhone. It's impossible to say whether or not the iPhone will be the best device for you a year from now. I would say save your money just in case. If you decide to get one, then you'll have the money to do it. If not, you can buy yourself something else with the money.
I think it is a great device but too much $$ for me atm.
I would say it is very high in price but then again, look @ all the features it has: Phone, iPod/iTunes, camera, visual voicemail, touch screen and plenty more features.
It has to be the best cell phone to date. Most advanced hands down.
nah its not worth it right now
im sure the phone is gonna have a lot of glitches and stuff.
just wait till the later version comes out, much more improved
I think it is an amazing electronic device and i personally would love to get one, but maybe in the future. This would be a good investment on your part, and i agree that the 2nd generation iPod is better. I love mine.
I think its alot of money and i drop my phone alot so if i spend 500 dollars on a phone im going to be watching it and making sure i dont drop it... honestly if you are going to use it alot i would say no but if your going to use it for the cool features an not take it outside to partys, movies, etc then i would get it.
