Unfortunately, it most certainly will not unless you jailbrake it. It was designed for AT&T, and apple has a carrier agreement with AT&T. The problem with jailbraking is that once apple issues an update, your phone may get bricked. That's a bad thing. If you're in a no-coverage zone, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Sorry!
