Will the new 3G Apple IPhone be able to be used on the Three Network in Australia?

I know that Optus and Vodafone will be supporting the IPhone, but I just want to buy it out right and use it on the Three cap plan that I have with my current Nokia phone. I assume because it is a 3G phone that Three network will be able to support it, but I just wanted to know for sure. Thanks.
