Apple iPhone, should I sell it or not??

As some of us already know that theres going to a new Apple iPhone 3G coming out soon & it'll be alot faster and maybe cheaper than the first version.
I've received a iPhone for my birthday a week ago, and am thinking whether I should sell it on ebay and save that money to purchase the newer version when it comes out later on?
My iPhone is unlocked and is a 8GB, I've seen them being sold on ebay from over £200 - 250 pounds.
What should I dooo? thanks :-)
