What happens if I buy an Apple Iphone without a contract with AT&T?

Nothing happens. You just have a phone you can't use. Or you could always connect it with At&t's prepaid. Requires NO CONTRACT. My neighbor has his like that. If you buy the iphone at the apple store it comes with no contract it's up to you to activate the phone. But like i said they have prepaid for those who dont qualify or dont want contracts.

there are some features that you cannot use, I have my Iphone set up with t-mobile and it works theres somethings u just need the at&t plan for though.
