what is the different between apple iphone and normal pda phone?

in singapore there is offer for APPLE iphone and some other pda phone like LG. Im curious about their different and function, because LG pda phone also have wifi and have computer software just like iphone. i'm wonder if they have the same function but because APPLE is popular, so everybody is more concious about APPLE. The LG pda phone that im interested in is LG KS20.
