Which one is better, a T-Mobile G1 or an Apple iPhone 3G?

Hello all! So, I have a little over a month left until my contract with T-Mobile will be over. I was either thinking of getting an iPhone and switching with ATT or renew my contract and try the new G1 phone. I'm still undecided and would like some feedback! Thanks!

Apple iPhone 3G because it's so fashionable and soo compact
