My daughter, who is having her sweet 16 party in a few weeks wants an iPhone very badly. It's the only thing she wants, but I recently lost my job and she doesn't have a mother anymore. I don't have enough money to get one and we recently got into a big fight and she hates me. I don't know what to do. I feel so bad. She must think her life is very bad because of everything she's lost so far. She's even mentioned that she is going to commit suicide if her life doesn't get better and she doesnt get an iPhone. Can someone, anywhere please mail me an iPhone. It doesn't have to work and it can be broken and have any amount of gigabytes. My brother is good at fixing those type of things. She is not a brat or anything. She has been sad for the last few years since "it" happened and when I asked her what she wanted for her birthday she said "Daddy, one of my friends has the iPhone and its so futuristic but we cant afford it with how things are so just you being there is what you want. Look, this is NOT the right way to go about your problem. Kids can't always have what they ask for, no matter how much they demand or threaten to hurt themselves. You need to discipline her more & make her understand that she can't always have it her way. Money is tight right now for you & you have to tell her that you can't be buying things that expensive, she does NOT even need an iPhone. She is a spoiled brat & you have to handle her right, otherwise, you will be having this problem everytime.

Pathetic attempt at conning someone out of an Iphone. If you don't have the money to buy one, you don't have the money for the service plan. If you daughter can be bought for the price of an Iphone, you did a poor job raising her. If she is this confused, you need to get her some consoling for her messed up morals and suicidal tendencies. First, you need to talk to your daughter. She is being a selfish brat, and giving in to her will only make things worse. She needs to learn that the world doesn't revolve around her, and that there are worse things in the world than not getting an IPhone. I don't have one, do you? If she wants one so badly, tell her to earn the money and get one herself.
