Does anyone know if apple is comming out with iChat for iPhone?

I have an iPhone and I find it very annoying that I have to use meebo.com to go on instant messanger. Since this website is not very reliable and only works sometimes it's getting on my last nerve. So, I was wondering if there is any technology nerds out there that knows this kind of stuff. =] Also, what are some other websites that are like meebo.com ? Thanks !
