Try a search... we have answered this question dozens of times and there is some pretty convincing arguements on both sides.
The best place for research is apple.com. My iPhone does exactly what they say, nothing more or less. The only thing the apple site doesn't convey well is how easy the iPhone is to learn and use and the professional details that have gone into it ( Ex. when you delete a pic... the pic kinda squishes up and actually goes into the trash can - useless, but it shows a polished well thought out product )
Many complain of the lack of MMS or the battery can't be changed. My simple thoughts...
1. MMS can transmit a virus to your phone, apple weighed the good/bad and determined the feature, although cool, is not worth it. They provided an alternative: one click emailing a pic to someone
2. I've owned many cell phones starting back in 1988 and can't recall changing the battery out in any of them... if i still have the same iPhone 2-3 years from now and the battery has reached it's halflife... i will happily pay $79US
good luck
