I love it! But I do not consider it a phone; it is an amazing computer. It is at least 6 devices in 1. With my iPhone, I carry around just one device instead of at least 10 devices (a calendar, a watch, a laptop, a notepad, a calculator, a navigator, a phone, an ipod/music player, a portable dvd/movie player, and a camera). How much would it cost to buy all of those and how much space does it take up in your purse? The price is worth it.
It is convenient! I am in sales and it is so easy for me to keep in touch with clients when I'm on the road. I get my email direct, text messaging, voicemail, I can surf the internet, make phone calls, take pictures, email the pictures, listen to music, watch movies, use the calculator, check the weather, map directions, set appointments on my calendar, set alarms if I'm traveling and need to wake up early...
I had a Palm Treo before, which I liked a lot, but this blows the doors off of it. It would be easier to tell you what I DON'T like about the iPhone. The price is similar to the Palm Treo, the monthly service is LESS than what I paid for my Treo. I no longer need to carry my laptop computer around because I can do almost everything except write up a document to attach.
Some of my favorite features:
Movie viewing - I downloaded the movie series "Roots" and watched it while at the gym - great resolution!
Visual Voicemail - When you have messages, you can see what numbers/people called you and listen to those most important voicemails first. This is sooo much better than calling into a voicemail box, then putting in a password, then listening to it tell you there are 5 messages, then having to listen to them one by one in order until you find that crucial call you're waiting for.
iPod - I listen to music, without having to carry around my iPod anymore. If I get a call, it comes through and I just squeeze a button on the headset to answer. If I'm on a plane, I set it to airplane mode and I can still listen to music or watch a movie.
Safari - internet surfing - even when my laptop doesn't find a connection, my iPhone always seems to.
Contact list - you can add a photo to all your contacts, you can find a contact person and send an email, text message or phone call to that person by just touching the screen and selecting what you want to do. You can also put your frequent callers on a list so you don't have to hunt for their numbers all the time.
Oh, I could go on and on, but you get the picture I hope. It's the best piece of technology I've ever had.
