Apple Iphone.... do you think is worth to buy it?

since january ive been waitin the iphone to come out but now im now so sure is worth buyn it, 500 to 600 is too expensive what you think? will you pay all that? just want to know what you think

its a joke. europe and asia are so far ahead of us with their cell phones, and we get this expensive gimmick? i would rather import a compatible one from japan.
