I think ALL of the service providers have pay-as-you-go plans these days. You will pay more for minutes and may get fewer services, but you don't have to sign a two-year agreement. I bought one of these plans because I was thinking of moving overseas and didnt want a long term contract.

So you just want a prepaid plan... i think that's what you are saying. You can use cingular go phone which is a plan but not. You still get ripped off as with all prepaid phones, but they take it out of your checking account or credit card every months and you get more features than with a prepaid, but it's still too much money for so few minutes.

if you have bad credit and that's why you have to use prepaid, i think it would benefit you to go to verizon and pay the $150 deposit so you have 1000 mins a month, free nights and weekends, all the good stuff, and you are helping your credit,
but everyone offers prepaid service.....

if you like paying 10-15 cents a minute then go for it, but you are getting ripped off.
