...someone else!! HELP!!? I BOUGHT A CELL PHONE THAT WAS FROM AN OLD CINGULAR USER. I PUT MY SIM CARD (CELL ONE) AND IT ASKED FOR A PASSWORD- I TRIED THIS A FEW TIMES AND THEM IT LOCKED ME OUT AND SAYS TO CONTACT MY SERVICE PROVIDER- I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE IT TO CELLULAR ONE, BECAUSE THEY WILL BE UPSET THAT I DID NOT BUY ONE FROM THEM AND SIGN ANOTHER 2 YR CONTRACT. IT WAS ASKING FOR A SUBSIDY PASSWORD? ANY SUGGESTIONS?

cingular phones are locked to at&t's network, so of course cell one's isn't going to work (i love cell one i have them) and you have to buy an unlocked phone, or buy the software to unlock the phone, and it locks your sim, so you'll have to go to the company to get your sim card unlocked, how do you think people get cool phones that they don't have in your area, they buy them unlocked from the internet. you can get one off ebay or another unlocked phone service. also try changing your sim card back to your cell one phone. hope this helps. good luck.
