Best prepaid mobile phone service

I am looking for a good prepaid mobile phone service, here are my requirements:
1) In US.
2) Will be used least, need longer expiration period.
3) If possible, I want to use GSM phones [ I have two of them -- quad-band]
4) Do not want to spend much.
5) Good coverage.
