Cell phone plans and terminated service?

I had Nextel service but I had lost the phone and didnt pay the bill.. Then last year they had put my deposit (150.00) towards the bill (306.93). The next month I paid 153.96 because I told them the wrong amount (suppose to be 156.93). If I pay the $2.97 do you think I would get my same service or would I have to open a new account (due to this being from last November)??
