I have the Motorola V551 with Cingular ( The new AT&T). i was at school (summer school) yesterday and i took it out of the case to check what time it was. It said I had 1 missed call so i opened it to check the call and the screen was for some reason turned off. i pushed a bunch of buttons to see if the screen would turn on. when I got home? i took off the battery and the sim card and I left it with the battery off for a while. i tried to see if it should work this morning but it still wont work. the battery was fully charged so i dont think that was the problem. does anyone have any suggestions?


i dont want to take it to the cingular store because its not the phone im supposed to have. i traded out with my cousin and hes out of town until august. plz help me out THX!!!

Your battery is most likely dead. They can show they are charged one minute and die the next. Same thing happened to me two days ago. I got a new battery from ebay and now it works just fine!

take it to the store anyways.. it doesnt matter what phone you have as long as you use there plans. good luck.

seems like you'll need to replace the screen, you should still take it to the cingular store to get it fixed.
