I have the Motorola V551 with Cingular ( The new AT&T). i was at school (summer school) yesterday and i took it out of the case to check what time it was. It said I had 1 missed call so i opened it to check the call and the screen was for some reason turned off. i pushed a bunch of buttons to see if the screen would turn on. when I got home? i took off the battery and the sim card and I left it with the battery off for a while. i tried to see if it should work this morning but it still wont work. the battery was fully charged so i dont think that was the problem. does anyone have any suggestions?


i dont want to take it to the cingular store because its not the phone im supposed to have. i traded out with my cousin and hes out of town until august. plz help me out THX!!!

Do you have a recharger? Plug your ph into the recharger to see if you're getting power. If not then I suspect your phone has some power issues and it will need to be looked at.

If you are getting power then your battery might need to be rechared anyway (even though you think it has power) or it might just be a dud and need to be replaced..

This can be down with the SIM card in or out--that won't affect it.

Go to the store, because they dont know/care which phone you're "supposed" to have.
